At last, the temperatures are slowly creeping up and it feels we’re leaving the winter behind. The landscape is changing by the day with more and more signs of spring. We’re also coming out of our hibernation and doing a little more in the community… joining the local choir, we’re going to more local markets and we’ve introduced ourselves to some yoga teachers in the area. And after the months of winter weather and staying in by the fire, the social life is picking up a bit too – visiting friends we’ve made since arriving and some local events too – including a great afternoon in the ‘Salles des Fetes’ down the road which hosted two local orchestras playing separately and together. We also visited Arcachon for the first time. It’s one of the biggest sand dunes in Europe located just outside Bordeaux – quite a climb but well worth it!
